Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data floppyskill.com (“FloppySkill”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and who we share it with. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
- Order info you give us: your email address, optional name, and the items you buy. Your email is what lets you log back in: we send a 6-digit sign-in code to it.
- Payment info: we do not see or store your card details. Payment is handled securely by Stripe, which collects payment data under its own privacy policy.
- Usage data: basic analytics events (pages visited, checkout started, purchase completed) and technical data like browser type, so we can run and improve the Site.
- Security data: we record your IP address briefly when you request a sign-in code or use the store, purely to rate-limit abuse and protect accounts. It is not used to profile or advertise to you.
2. Cookies & tracking
We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on the Site — no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no Google Analytics, and we do not use cookies to follow you around the web. What we do store in your own browser is only what makes the Site work: your light/dark preference and your library sign-in, kept on your device. Our own visit counts are recorded on our server and are not tied to advertising.
3. Why we use your data
- to deliver your Products and give you access to your library;
- to send you your receipt and order-related emails;
- to run, secure, and improve the Site;
- to measure and improve our marketing.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that make the store work:
- Stripe — to process your payment securely;
- Cloudflare — hosting, database, and file storage;
- Resend — to send your order and sign-in emails.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep your order records so you can re-download your Products and for our own accounting. You can ask us to delete your personal data (see Section 7), subject to records we’re required to keep.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep it safe.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or object to certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected] and we’ll respond.
8. Children
The Site isn’t directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Effective date” above shows the latest version.
